Gaga “Go-go” Away..p-p-please!

Just for the record here at HiFi Central we often have a bucket or some garbage can at the ready for our daily feeling of oncoming nausea when Lady Gaga’s name is mentioned.

Although Madonna was annoying in the 80’s and 90’s, yet she was talented to a degree (Ray of Light is actually not a bad album believe it or  not!). Gaga trumps her by a mile at this point in being a retard.

Can anyone please explain to us why this chick remains in the spotlight?  We just don’t get it.

You mean “you” don’t get it. She’s popular for the same reasons Madonna was – she writes her own songs, which are catchy dance-pop songs, and she has an outrageous public personae. She’s provocative and creates controversy. But she won’t last like Madonna unless she continually reinvents herself as Madonna did so successfully.

(sigh) Straus, you just always have to be the one to comment against something just because it’s the impulsive you eh? Actually I do get her and her zany personae is blatently one who is trying too hard to get attention. Her kooky actions are obvious and scripted, it’s more annoying than facinating. However, to a younger generation who did not experience Madonna I guess she is fascinating to many, I dunno.

Lady Gaga is a bad mashup of Madonna and Grace Jones. Because her weirdness is so contrived, people will tire of her. I grew tired of her from the moment I first heard of who she was.

I keep waiting for someone to launch the opposite of Lady Gaga, some guy who runs around in tighty whiteys named “Boy Goo Goo”.

I couldn’t agree more. Lady Gaga makes Madonna sound like Ella Fitzgerlad. She’s got nothing but a lok. Her singing sounds like nails on a chalkboard to my ears.
